French language Skills Prioritized For Category Selection Draws

French Proficiency is of utmost importance as of 2024. IRCC is giving a very high priority in ITA draws in 2024. Recently, 30% of the ITA is given to French Proficiency, 25% to STEM occupations, 15% to healthcare occupation. IRCC holds draws regularly bi-weekly and almost weekly at times.

Canada plans to bring in 110,770 new PRs in 2024 and more of that for 2025. And they are targeting more skilled immigrants, and they want more francophone speakers.

The Value of French
